Terpenes are the most basic, naturally occurring essential oils. They make up the scent of fruit, flowers, herbs and many other things we contact daily, including cannabis! They are scented molecules and affect how we feel. Already, there has been over 30,000 terpenes identified. Terpenes work synergistically with cannabinoids, other botanical compounds and our bodies to produce combined effects that are greater than their separate effects- this is known as the Entourage Effect.
